Bio
Mier Liu is an Asian American filmmaker and author, celebrated for her versatile talents in acting, writing, and directing. Born in Taiwan, Mier is fluent in both English and Chinese, allowing her to engage and captivate a diverse range of audiences.
Her novel, "Am I Famous Yet? 我會紅!勇闖好萊塢", is a bestseller in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. Mier has appeared in notable films such as Eddie Murphy's "Candy Cane Lane" and "Takeout Girl," which won Best Picture at the American Black Film Festival in 2020. She also wrote and produced the horror film "Want to Hear a Story," currently in post-production.
Mier Liu is set to make her directorial debut with the feature film "The Unseen Footage," a horror film currently in pre-production. In 2021, she was honored as one of the first five diverse female filmmakers selected by the Starlight Culture Entertainment Diversity Fund.
